]]> http://www.1716south.com/2010/01/happy-weekend-2/feed/ 0 errands, zits, crepes http://www.1716south.com/2010/01/errands-zits-crepes/ http://www.1716south.com/2010/01/errands-zits-crepes/#comments Sat, 09 Jan 2010 08:03:21 +0000 123gfas http://www.1716south.com/?p=1526 I’m enjoying my Saturday right now.  I’m at my sister’s house and we’ve been doing a whole lot of nothing.  Later we might go to the mall and have coffee at Starbucks and crepes at Cafe Breton after that.  This week was a busy week for me for I ran a lot of errands.  Mostly errands concerning my car.  I had it tuned up for its regular car maintenance.  Anyway, the car mechanic found some defects or irregularities on my car.  For instance, my car’s steering box needs to be replaced, the brake pads need replacing too and one headlight bulb is busted.  That’s a lot, right?  So I had to schedule another appointment for the replacements.  I didn’t have the money yet to pay for it.  I’d have to save first before.  I also had to go to a dermatologist to have my skin assessed.  My skin is having breakouts.  I have three huge zits on both my cheeks and I feel another two coming out soon.  So the derma gave me some meds skin care products specifically for my skin type.  I hope all these pimples would go away.  And I hope that when they disappear, they won’t leave dark pimple marks.

Anyway, so much for that.  How is your weekend so far?

And now I can’t wait anymore to start the holidays! My little mind is running rampant with all sorts of goodies to prepare, gifts to buy and yummy treats for Christmas eve dinner.  Mind you, only a only about 40%of my grand plans will come to fruition, but I digress…

Christmas is 42 days away. I can feel it in the air.  It seems a little colder most nights.  The malls are packed.  Traffic is worse.  I’m really excited.  I just hope Christmas this year is better than last year.  My sister’s family didn’t join us for dinner because she and my father had a little misunderstanding.  But they’re in speaking terms now.  I hope everyone would be present this year.  I’m keeping my fingers crossed.  Anyway, I’ll leave you with this photo.

It’s the weekend again. It’s a rainy weekend actually. I don’t know why it always rains on a weekend. It seems that God does not want us to go out and enjoy the outdoors. So what do you do when you’re inside and rain is pouring? I make soup or read a book and to tell you honestly, I have a stack of books waiting to be given attention. So this might be the weekend that they get my always divided attention.

]]> http://www.1716south.com/2009/11/weekender-5/feed/ 0 so weird http://www.1716south.com/2009/10/so-weird/ http://www.1716south.com/2009/10/so-weird/#comments Fri, 23 Oct 2009 07:25:22 +0000 123gfas http://www.1716south.com/?p=1313 I find i weird that I only get to post about my personal life when I’m busy as hell.  I was at MG’s school the whole morning because she had her periodical exam.  I waited for her to finish because I had to bring her to her sped teacher for one hour of therapy before which I had to let her eat because her sked today was so hectic that having proper lunch was close to impossible.  So we had to drive thru McDonald’s for a fast, quick meal.  I don’t why I feel so overwhelmed by her schedule when all I have to do is wait.  I mean, she has to do all those things and yet I’m the one tired at the end of the day.  Perhaps I need anxiety pills to help me calm down and relax.  So weird I can’t handle these little things with ease when I’ve gone through so many things far more hectic than this.
