I’m that person who takes her camera everywhere or has her camera ready all the time. And then finds herself taking 2 to 0 pictures because she’s too busy thinking of unimportant things or just plain busy having fun or just simply preoccupied to be bothered with getting her camera up to her face and start snapping. Lucky for me, my little girl reminds me that I need to take photos of her every time she does something cute. And she does cute and adorable things all the time. And snap away I do each time I’m with her.

Anyway, it’s much like when I want to download a Video on Rapidshare. I go to the site. I look around and I would totally forget why I visited the site in the first place. But after awhile, I would remember and in the end, I would still manage to download the original video I wanted. It’s a crazy habit of mine. It seems to go very well with old age. Does the same thing happen to you? Or is it only me? Am I a candidate for Alzheimer’s? This forgetfulness is chronic and may even be contagious as my son seems extremely forgetful these past few days. Well, that’s another post. For now, I need to remember what to do next.

It’s so difficult to earn nowadays. It’s no longer uncommon for people to have more than one job just to make ends meet. I’m one of those people and I can say for a fact that it’s truly hard to be the head of the family. marathon TV

If I can’t go fishing this weekend, I might just stay indoors and watch marathon TV. Yes, my family calls it marathon for we watch TV from morning till the wee hours of the next morning. What else can you do on a Saturday or even on a Sunday? I just wish I had Direct TV with more quality movie channels. Our present cable provider only has one good movie channel and a few not so good ones. I guess it’s nothing compared to what one gets with direct tv las vegas. Imagine having 66 premium channels like seven HBO, Showtime, 3 Cinemax, and some others. I didn’t even know that Starz has more than 10 channels. They have different packages so you can choose based on your viewing habits. Anyway, I think it’s better to go to the mall than watch our present crap cable. Too bad!

my dream dining room

I don’t think I would buy anything major for the house this year. But that is not reason enough to still scour the malls and shops for ideas and future buys. In fact, I’m seeing a lot of beautiful furniture specifically dining tables and chairs that would fit nicely in my not so new home. But budget is nowhere near for me. I might buy something like casual dining furniture so my family could at least sit comfortably while we eat. The scenario during meal time at home is we each find a spot anywhere in the house to sit and eat. Which is not good especially that meal times are the only times we could all be together and talk about things. But I’m having a problem because my friends, during our reunion recently, had expressed their wish to have dinner at my home one of these days. I warned them that I still don’t have a formal dining furniture. Although I know they are okay with it, I still would want to have them in my home with complete furniture. Anyway, I hope I win the lotto or something or I could get a big writing gig that would help me buy my dream dining set.

My sister drives a 4×4 Isuzu Trooper. She’s much too small for the big vehicle of hers. But she loves it and wouldn’t trade it for the whole wide world. Why would she? Her truck rims cost so much that you can actually buy a car with the worth of those chrome rims. They actually look good against the black paint of the vehicle. Anyway, she’s planning to replace the rims with a less pricey kind. I told her to check out TruckRims.com because they can even make custom wheels for you. But I doubt if she would replace her tires and rims. Not in a couple more years.

Single moms always have problems with child support. And I know this from experience. I didn’t really get into the legalities of child support because I know that it’s an awkward situation. If the father is not willing, who am I to push? To hell with him. That’s my stand until now. If he has the decency to send something in the form of money or some other things then it’s alright. But I have a friend who really went a step further and really filed a case against the unwilling father and she won. I was so happy for her because she’s a single mother who does not have her parents or anyone else for support. She ’s really on her own trying to raise a kid while working full time. Anyway, I hope single moms or moms who suddenly found themselves to be single won’t have to face this sort of problem. I hope the men in their lives would support them all the way even if the relationships failed. But things always don’t work the way we want. I don’t know if you can get homeowners insurance for a condo. I think I could. Someone had explained this to me before but I was not listening and now I want to kick myself because I couldn’t get any straight answer from anyone. What I remember is that standard condo insurance typically does offer liability insurance up to the limits of the policy. I think I can only insure what is inside the unit and not the structure. It really differs from a standard home insurance wherein if something unfortunate happens to the house, the insurance company will build from the ground up. It’s wise to get insurance for your properties these days. You’ll never know what may happen in the future. Your properties should be protected and insured from unforseen events like fire, storm, smoke, vandalism and even riots and gang violence. My father has a row of residential apartments and a few commercial units for rent. I know he hasn’t applied for any kind of insurance for both and I would convince him to get a commercial landlord insurance because those commercial properties are more at risk to fire because of the nature of the businesses being held there. One is a restaurant and the other one is a convenience store that doubles as a cafeteria. I hope my father would think beyond the profit that he gets from these properties and think about maintaining and protecting his source of income.
