More and more people are into biking these days. One of the major transportation in Manila even dedicates a spot for bikers to ride and carry their bikes with them. I don’t know if people are starting to be conscious about their health as biking is a great form of exercise or if they are concerned about the environment. As we all know, bikes don’t have engines or don’t use gasoline so there is practically no carbon emissions to worry about. So it’s good for the body and it’s good for the environment. Perhaps I should take up biking as well.

But I don’t know the first thing about bikes. What I really like is a motorbike. It’s still environment friendly compared to larger vehicles plus it’s cheaper. You can even upgrade these babies with accessories from Bikers Choice. There are so many add-ons available to enhance the performance of your motorcycles. Perhaps I should get a motorcycle for my son instead of a car. What do you think? Besides, my budget can only buy a motorcycle for now. He could join one of the many motorcycle clubs and plan trips out of town. What am I saying? I don’t even allow my son to do sleepovers.

After the holidays, everyone is cost cutting. Everyone must have spent so much on gifts, food, parties, shopping and a lot of other things. We don’t call it a season of giving for nothing. And we have probably given so much. And now we find ourselves scrimping on everything else. Now I plan to avoid eating in restaurants as much as possible and prepare home-cooked meals. Yes, eat more at home. This way I can save and spend the money allotted for eating out to more important expenditures.

I also plan to work harder and get more writing assignments. This year, I am bent on setting aside money for travel. I want to visit my mother and sister abroad who I have not seen for years now. I miss them. I hope it happens this year as my cousin is also getting married to her long time love in October. And just like me, my cousin is also looking for ways to save. Last time I spoke to her, she had already gone over her wedding budget. It was a good thing she made a wise choice by getting these cheap wedding invitations. She said they’re cheap but of good quality. I hope she sends me one whether or not I could attend her wedding.

Everybody loves Black Friday. Although it’s not officially a holiday, I think my sister and I would take the day off to look for Black Friday deals. Imagine every shop and store would offer sales and discounts on their wares. Christmas is really just around the corner and Black Friday makes it official that shopping season is once again upon us. We hope to find everything we would need to give as gifts for everyone who is important to us. There would be other sales besides this but it’s fun when the whole country is bargain shopping with you. The energy is different. Hope to bump into you.

it’s the weekend

It’s Friday the 13th weekend. And you know what they about this notorious day, it’s bad. Bad accidents and weird things happen on this day. I originally planned to stay home today but errands are errands and they can’t wait. So instead of staying home and watching some movies, I ended up driving around the city to buy books for my college kid, some more books for my little one and a new book for me. And guess how much that cost me? A ton. Perhaps I should try this torrents download so I can download movies instead of buying DVDs. At least, I would be saving on that department.

I love taking pictures but the thing is, I hate carrying the camera on my shoulder. It’s just too inconvenient. My camera is not the typical point and shoot one. It’s a Digital SLR.
