The past two weeks were the busiest I had been. Work, MG’s school and therapy, and home management. Plus the fact that Christmas was nearing made those two weeks hell more than heaven for me. Thank God it’s over and I now have more time to relax, go out of town and finally have that much needed vacation and perhaps even consider Fractional Yacht Onwership. Now I know I’m dreaming.

I love taking pictures but the thing is, I hate carrying the camera on my shoulder. It’s just too inconvenient. My camera is not the typical point and shoot one. It’s a Digital SLR. I’ve tried shopping for a camera bag but I always said to myself, “Who wants to carry a camera bag in addition to your regular one?” I shared my dilemma to other photographer friends and they all had their own stories about what they used to wrap their cameras with: towels, sweaters, wash cloths, and bubble wrap. I realized there was definitely a need to secure the camera in its rightful place. Everyone who has a camera should have a camera case and one of those camera bags. That’s it. That’s the only solution to this recurring problem.

I found this website that looks as if it could solve my problem. M-Rock.com has good, sturdy line of camera bags that can protect your precious cameras. Features are many such as the inside is lined with non-abrasive material. And it’s important for me since I don’t like scratches on my camera. It’s Sunday here and I hope you’re having a great weekend. I spent most of the week playing catch-up. I found my Saturday ultimately busy too. It was only this morning that I got to relax and just do nothing. So I’m refreshed and ready for another week of busy-ness. It’s MG’s exams on Thursday and Friday so we will be doing a lot of reviewing. By the way, she knows how to read already. Just one-syllable words and some of them she can also spell by sounding off the letters. I’m so happy. I never thought she could read this early. She reads better than her regular classmates. Well, that’s it for now and hope you have a productive week ahead. =)

My nephew loves to play MMORPG. I don’t know if he knows about the latest MMORPG called aion. He might enjoy this latest addition to the genre of computer role-playing games. Aion is about The Tower of Eternity and the players must choose between two opposing factions called the Elyos and the Asmodians. Since it’s a role-playing game, one assumes a character with specific abilities or powers. The fate of Aion is wholly dependent on one’s decisions and strategies. It’s exciting, right? It makes me want to play. But I joined the aion forum so I can get advice and strategy from other players. It’s safer and wiser that way. And now I’m learning a lot. My only worry is my computer is quite slow. I don’t know its exact specifications. Can I still play this without it looking like a slow motion movie? Would it affect my game if ever? By the way, I read from some other posts that this is not a free game and that you have to pay a monthly fee aside from buying the software? I want to make sure before I purchase one. I don’t want to get addicted then have to quit cold turkey because i can’t play the monthly fee. But it looks like an awesome and exciting game.

I know someone who fears riding any two-wheel vehicles and that includes motorcycles and even the harmless children’s bikes. It is sometimes hilarious but I can somehow relate to her fear. I almost encountered an motorbike accident when I was just 13. Good thing my sister was able to turn the bike before we even hit a tree. So we just fell off from the bike with some bumps and bruises. My friend had a blast visiting New York last week. She went to the MET, visited Carrie’s apartment and just sat around doing nothing at Central Park. And she’s off to sunny California in two days to meet up with someone she met in one of the better california chat rooms around. Her new California friend promised to show her around. Hope she will have fun.

Next weekend is another long weekend for us here. And wouldn’t it be nice to go on a Family Vacation? Just some R & R for the whole family with no worries and just pure fun and leisure. Why just a family vacation? Because I just couldn’t go on one of those romantic getaways although that would be nice, too. But I don’t have a partner to play all romantic with, do I? Anyway, it would just be great to go on a road trip to somewhere we’ve never been. To see new scenery, interact with the locals and perhps, do some shopping and try the local restaurants and cuisine. First on my list is a stay in one of the cozy and charming Vermont Hotels where you could see mountains and greens all around. That would be a refreshing sight while drinking your morning coffee or hot chocolate, far from the urban jungle that I happen to see every single day. It would be a nice time to bond with my children again. Be updated with their lives and just share this one memory of extreme relaxation. Just writing about this makes me want to pack my bags and head out to the country. It’s really high time for a vacation.

Busy week is finally over. And you know what I want to try over the weekend? Go fishing. I’m a newbie and I’m not about to don a William Joseph Fly Fishing Waders that are meant for the experts but I’ll surely have R.L. Winston Bamboo Fly Fishing Rod or even a Sage Launch Fly Rods. Now I just need to find someone to teach me how to fly fish. Any volunteer?

reunion with old friends

Last Saturday I attended our high school reunion. It was fun to see them after 19 long years. We did a lot of catching up and literally passed around custom business cards so we could all get in touch even after the event. Unfortunately, I don’t have one. I’m a stay-at-home mom so I don’t need to have one. But if I ever put up a business I would definitely have special calling cards made. I don’t want the generic white cards that sales people normally hand out. I want something that will stand out amongst white and basic cards.Anyway, it was nice to see all of them and I hope we get together more often. Not everyone can play football…Physically, that is. With fantasy football, virtually every person in the planet can now surprisingly play, manage, and interact with other football players over the internet.
