More and more people are getting into blogging these days. Aside from joining social networking sites, people are discovering the fun side of blogging. I’ve had this blog for over a year now and it has been one productive and fun year of blogging about anything and everything. A blog is your personal space. It’s not something someone can edit because you’ve written something foul. This is my personal space so I’m free to write whatever I want. I have also met some wonderful people in the blogosphere and have established friendship with them even offline. I think, by far, that making friends with fellow bloggers is the best that has happened to me online. Reading about their personal lives and anything that they willingly share are what I look forward to each day. It’s like stalking but you have the permission of the owner. Unlike with social networking sites, blogs tend to be longer and more “complete” accounts of your day to day activities. Doing the blog rounds also helps me discover other good blogs. And just recently, I came across Aaron Breslow’s blog. And I found out that he’s actually a pro when it comes to blogging and networking.

Aaron Breslow has several blogs which he developed over the course of several years. They’re mainly about baseball so I guess that is his passion. You can get many tips and news about baseball. fact or fiction?

I love to see movies wherein the plot is interesting and original. Last year, I got to watch so many movies but I only liked quite a few. Most were science fiction. Whether I believe those movies or not, I don’t know. Nowadays, there’s a thin line dividing fact or fiction. So I don’t know what to believe anymore. This year, there’s a film project which is still under works and has yet to be shown. The plot is quite intriguing. It may even have a basis in real life. Fact or fiction? You decide. In fact, you can watch the REINL The Rejuventor Pilot Trailer on IMDB. So the plot revolves around a man by the name of REIN who was chosen to be the rejuvenator of souls. Other characters that also play important roles are theses twin brother and sister who he trusted fully when he was still a regular mortal and Karma who gave Rein the power to take away or rejuvenate souls. The conflict arises when Rein and Karma chooses another rejuvenator who may or may not be up for the task. Quite interesting, right? I can’t wait to watch this on the big screen.

bank account

I’m ashamed to admit it but at my age, I don’t even have a bank account. I used to have one but due to the fact that I loathe going to the bank and falling in line, I decided to withdraw all my money and close the account. I just don’t get it. For a small interest you earn from your deposit, it’s just not worth it. But I guess it’s hugely important because if its’ not, why do a lot of people even have one? Of course, there’s the issue of credit or financial history. It’s important and it’s required when you apply for a loan. If you don’t have a bank account, what does it say about you, right?

So this year, I would get one again. And not only that, I would also get a Certificate of Deposit. A CD earns more interest versus a regular savings account so I guess it’s a wise investment. The only thing is you can’t touch your money for a certain period of time. But that’s alright. That’s the thing about saving…we must not spend it. Can you suggest the best cd rates available out there because I really have no idea?

all about business

This year it’s all about work and business. I got a message from a friend who is now living abroad with her husband and son. She asked me if I wanted to do business in New Zealand. I could send her items from here and she would sell those items at a profit. Of course, we share the profit. I asked her what type of merchandise is in demand there and she immediately answered clothes and jewelry.

Starting next week, I would try to look for clothing suppliers. I don’t know if this venture would work but we need to start from somewhere, right? I guess everyone is looking for ways to augment their income. This is not the time to play safe. Anyway, I heard that when you do business in Nevada, you need an agent to represent you especially if you don’t actually live there. It’s a good thing one can get Nevada resident agent to take care of your business. And it does not even cost so much. Just $89 fee for the whole year and it’s even cheaper if you pre-pay. That’s better than setting up a physical office which would probably cost so much more. If you have plans to do business in Nevada, consider getting a resident agent.

finding online jobs that pay well

Earning a living for my family is my number one priority for this year. Well, it is for every year for the past fifteen years. I had worked in the corporate setting for so many years and just two years doing online jobs. And working from home is the best thing that has happened to me. I get to choose what projects to work on and I get to relax and chill whenever I need to. It is so different in the corporate world where you don’t own your time. The company owns you, by the way.

This year though, I won’t be as choosy with the projects presented to me. As long as there are offers and I have time to do them without sacrificing my time for my children, I would do it. This is not the time to lounge around. I have set targets for my family this year and I am dead set to achieve them. I would also try to save more. Eating out would be limited to once a week. Shopping to once a month. Travel would be once a quarter or twice a year. Speaking of saving, I found another shop that supplies cheap wedding invitations which my cousin might be interested in. I hope she has not closed the deal yet with the other supplier. What your targets for this year?=)

cramps and carpal tunnel syndrome

As you get older, your body changes. What normally is an easy thing to do when you were younger now takes a great deal of effort. I guess it’s just the way the universe works. We’ve all had our time. Anyway, I say this because I get cramps whenever I sleep and also when I walk and stand for long periods of time. A few minutes ago, my left hand felt numb all of sudden. I guess it’s carpal tunnel syndrome. I’ve been typing away for the past hour and it’s taking a toll on my nerves. This is also true for bikers. I read that they also experience wrist cramps during long distance motorcycling. I think it’s scary. When you’re on the road, all your senses must work. But if you feel something odd or off, how can you focus on driving. This may even be a cause of accident. cost cutting

After the holidays, everyone is cost cutting. Everyone must have spent so much on gifts, food, parties, shopping and a lot of other things. We don’t call it a season of giving for nothing. And we have probably given so much. And now we find ourselves scrimping on everything else. Now I plan to avoid eating in restaurants as much as possible and prepare home-cooked meals. Yes, eat more at home. This way I can save and spend the money allotted for eating out to more important expenditures.

I also plan to work harder and get more writing assignments. This year, I am bent on setting aside money for travel. I want to visit my mother and sister abroad who I have not seen for years now. I miss them. I hope it happens this year as my cousin is also getting married to her long time love in October. And just like me, my cousin is also looking for ways to save. Last time I spoke to her, she had already gone over her wedding budget. It was a good thing she made a wise choice by getting these cheap wedding invitations. She said they’re cheap but of good quality. I hope she sends me one whether or not I could attend her wedding.
