I found this at Container DS by Kuno Nüssli. I think this industrial freight container-inspired piece of furniture would look good in my home. It would be perfect for storing spare plates and drinking glasses. As you know, I lack kitchen countertop space. And with almost every one of my things out in the open, it just looks so cluttered. This would hide some of my stuff very well and in style.

I need real blinds soon. The ones hanging on my windows are temporary blinds made of paper. And they’re getting dirty. I can’t wash it because it’s paper. Oh well, when I bought them I knew they wouldn’t last long. What I need is wooden blinds that would match the interior of my home. The ones with dark wood tone. There are many colours to choose from but dark tones seem to evoke certain elegance. It looks modern yet elegant. Guess what’s making a comeback although it was never really gone? It’s tumbled marble mosaic tile and I have used this material in my present kitchen. The mosaic tiles are so versatile. The one installed in my kitchen looks modern but there are varieties that can work more ways than one. There are natural-looking ones that would look best to warm up the kitchen. I wish I were pregnant again but just thinking about the expenses of having a baby, I push the wish aside. Besides MG is still a baby and perhaps she will be forever my baby. I just wish I could wear all the fab and stylish Maternity Jeans available now. When I was pregnant with MG, I only wore loose clothes like baggy pants and oversized shirts. Great, right? Now I see pregnant women in malls wearing those cute outfits that don’t shout maternity at all. I mean, even if I’m not pregnant I could still wear those. And when I go shopping around, I can’t help but be amazed at the range of Baby Clothes in the market. They all look so adorable on a baby. If MG were still a baby and not a tall 5 year old, I would have maxed out my credit card again buying clothes for her. Although I still enjoy buying floral dresses for her, I still find onesies and Hooter Hider with beautiful prints. Who can hide when people keep staring at the those beautiful prints? Anyway, I guess I have to satisfy myself with buying baby clothes as gifts for my friends’ kids.

My uncle has just made his renovation project more challenging. But I have to commend him though because what he intends to do now is to make use of recycled or salvaged materials. It would be hard and it might take years before he could finish a grand project like this one. But if it’s about doing something good for the environment, I’m all for it. I will support him all the way. Now he’s going to different cities and looking for old wood and any other things that he would use for his flooring and general design. That’s a big job. But I think he’s happy and he’s confident that he can accomplish this difficult task. But I also suggested that he gets a contractor for other mini-projects involving this huge renovation. There are “green” contractors who would be willing to take some of the jobs off your hands. For instance, Go Green Painting and Home Improvements, LLC is now using eco-friendly methods and materials for any building or remodeling job. They use the latest technologies to ensure that not only their products are eco-friendly but also their methods of disposal and recycling. a new sofa

I think I need a new sofa. Our present sofa is not doing it for us. You might say that I don’t even have a dining set yet I’m here thinking of getting a new sofa. Why? My sister sleeps here on weekdays and she basically takes over the sofa bed at night. I don’t think she’s comfortable lying there. I might buy one of those sturdier and wider SOFAS. One that can accommodate or fit two people comfortably when lying down. Anyway, that would be my next purchase after the dining table, of course. And I think I want an orange sofa next time.

This is sort of funny and very unexpected. Our condo building is fairly new and unit construction can be seen in every floor. Not only that, there is a new wing being built just beside our building so there are a lot of construction workers just about everywhere. When I got in the service elevator this afternoon, I bumped into two engineers wearing hard hats. The funny thing is they were both wearing Pink Hard Hats which is so freaking unexpected. I almost laughed out loud but I didn’t, of course. Anyway, I never thought that men can ever wear pink, let alone a pink hard hat. It’s cute though.

In my continual quest to furnish our home with not so much money, I am thinking of buying one of these two things. If and only if they cost less than $100. I’m really not into matching things. That’s why these outdoor chairs with their different colors would be my best bet. And it looks cheaper than the outdoor couch.
