It’s Friday the 13th weekend. And you know what they about this notorious day, it’s bad. Bad accidents and weird things happen on this day. I originally planned to stay home today but errands are errands and they can’t wait. So instead of staying home and watching some movies, I ended up driving around the city to buy books for my college kid, some more books for my little one and a new book for me. And guess how much that cost me? A ton. Perhaps I should try this torrents download so I can download movies instead of buying DVDs. At least, I would be saving on that department.

I don’t have a big home. In fact, our former home is three times bigger than where we live now. There are advantages to a smaller home. Of course, anyone who likes a tidy house would find herself having more time in her hands than those with bigger and more space to cover and clean. And for the budget-conscious, fewer things are needed in a small home. In fact, I didn’t need an all-out redecoration or renovation or a load of new furniture to make mu house look and feel fantastic. I discovered that you can get away with just smashing looking paint job to make your small home look fab. I also noticed that I’ve cut my electricity bills down to half when we moved here 6 months ago. Well, those are the advantages. Now here come the disadvantages. For one, storage is a major issue. I had to give up most of my stuff when we moved here. I had to list down the most important things that we need and do away with the not so. And it was tough parting ways with some of my things including a very huge antique grandfather clock which now stands happily back in my father’s home. But I found a website that carries all types of Howard Miller grandfather clocks and some of the designs would complement my new home.

They’re not antiques but I don’t care if it’s brand new as long as I have my own.

I still lived with my parents when I was studying in College. The university I went to was just near our place so it was not a problem looking for a place to stay. I didn’t have to move out or travel far compared to my classmates who back then, lived far or just wanted to leave their respective homes. I would often visit my friends in their dorms and always think that it was still better to stay at home. The rooms literally looked like a war zone. Paint was peeling off. Mattresses seemed too “lived in”, I thought they would catch a disease just lying down there. If they had proper dorm room bedding, that would have perhaps changed my mind about dorm living. If Moxii were available during my day, it would be a totally different scenario.

When I was still working, I had to travel most of the time. They were not foreign travels but they were travel all the same and it involved packing of things before I leave and unpacking them at the hotel when I arrive. It was a tedious job. Not the work per se but the travel. The work was fun actually. I met a lot of people and enjoyed much of the different scenery along the way. But I dreaded the packing because I didn’t have a sturdy Carry-On Luggage. I used a flimsy bag that was part of a giveaway a liquor company sponsored during one of my trips. And the worst part of it was my clothes were all wrinkled. But I did have one of those leather Business cases where the business paper and brown envelopes were never wrinkled. The business case was a part of an Executive Accessories collection that I loved so much. It had a cosmetic bag and a cargo kit that were made of genuine leather with a beautiful patina. The pieces were so elegant that you wouldn’t be embarrassed being seen with them. How I wish I still had them but when I had my second child, I had to give them away to my father because of storage space.

My sister lost one of her Lanyards again. And this time a key came with it. She’s been looking for it all morning yesterday but to no avail. I asked which was more important–the key or the lanyard. Of course, she answered that the key was more important because it’s the key to the back door of their house. So now she has to replace the door knob again. I told her if she purchased one of those beautifully crafted Beaded Lanyards with semi-precious stones, the chances of her losing another item would be slim to none. She would probably take good care of the lanyards and everything attached to it. Anyway, I might give her one if she keeps on losing things. And you know what, I might give everyone close to me a beaded lanyard. They are great gifts–unique and truly charming. They are also perfect and truly awesome idea for Fundraisers. A Fundraising Jewelry? The fundraiser can also include items like bracelets, pins, I.D. necklaces, eyewear holders, and anklets. I’m sure if these items are for sale in fundraisers, it would raise a lot of money and raise awarenes and help about the cause by making customized jewelry. Ok, I will suggest this to my sister who has been working with the government on various projects. I just hope she does lose the fundrasing items.

I have a collection of jewelry but most came from my mother and past boyfriends. I seldom buy my own. But I have a sudden urge to buy one of the Roman Glass pieces from Aurastella Jewelry. I thinkthey’re so classy and unique that I can’t wait for someone to give one to me. Plus they’re so reasonably priced so there’s no worry in the finance department. By the way, Roman glass has been around for centuries dating as far back to first century b.c. That’s why owning one is a must for any woman. I love items with history and Roman glass jewelry is one of them. And I think the aqua-colored Roman glass matches and complements my skin and aura.

The box and the paper are equally important. Without them, your Rolex might be stolen and I don’t want that.

I like to collect things, and when you have limited space it easily gets cluttered. I usually collect old things. Not necessarily antiques but things that others might call shabby chic. It’s so 90’s but I love things with a bit of history. I love the weathered look. I like things I know people have experiences with. And it freaks some people because they think that used items might even be haunted or something. Well, they could be right. But they say that when you have old things in the house, just put crystals to counter the negative energy. I don’t know about that but I like crystals, too. So no problem there.

A couple of of years ago, I became fascinated with mini-cabinets. I don’t even know what you call them but the shop where I bought them from said that they originated from India. These three I would definitely bring with me to our new home.
