still on business cards

January 17th, 2010 · No Comments

So we’re still on the subject of business cards.  I just wrote in my previous post that I don’t get as many business cards the way I used to when I was still working in an office.  But you know what, I went through my desk to clean it out this morning and a ton of real estate business cards shocked me. Yup, those are what I get from frequenting the shopping malls—business cards and flyers from real estate agents.  These agents are stationed in the malls to get potential clients they could coax into buying one of the condo units or houses and lots they’re offering.  But what are the chances that they could actually get buyers from mall frequenters? For instance, I get a ton of flyers but it’s seldom that I do read or even look at them.  Poor agents.  If I were them, I would just make cold calls.  At least, the people they’re trying to call are either at home or at the office.  They can definitely spare even just a few minutes of their time.  When I’m at the mall, all I want to do is walk around, eat, shop and watch a movie.  It’s my leisure time and I don’t want to be bothered with anything else.  I’m quite sure we share the same thoughts.
