Ever since turning my back from the corporate world, I rarely get to meet anyone who would readily give out his business card.  The people I meet on a daily basis now are mommies, teachers, runners and stupid drivers.  The last one I would prefer not to have anything to do at all.  I kind of miss the whole corporate vibe.  Meeting people, dressing up for an important meeting, luncheons, planning sessions and of course, the salary.  The privileges and benefits of working and being employed.  But I love my life now.  It’s not anything like the life I used to have.  It’s still as hectic and fast-paced but I don’t get paid a basic salary to wake up early, to drive my little girl to and from school or to cook dinner for the whole family.  But what I get instead are way better—lots of love and lots of hugs and kisses.  Is there anything in the world that could beat that?  You can have your salary and your sick and vacation leaves and enjoy it while you can.  As for me, I’m staying here right where I am now for as long as I can.  I would just have my own business cards online printed that say full-time mom. Thinking about it, why don’t moms have their own business cards.  With the kind of dedication and work we put into motherhood, we deserve a valid title, don’t you think so?
