I used to go to the casinos a lot. My friend and I would spend the night there and just play with slot machines. Our money was not enough to play at one of the tables that normally would require a minimum. So we were happy and content just playing slots. I actually won twice there. My friend was luckier as she won the top prize twice in one year. She paid all her debts, had her car repaired, bought her son a cell phone and used the rest of the money to play again and lost it all. I guess she was not that wise about handling such a huge of money at that time. We both stopped going to the casino after that because it was kind of addicting. Last I heard, she plays slot machines rvm online. I haven’t tried it though. I don’t know if it’s as much fun as the slot machines we used to play. I might give it a go one day. But right now, I’m full to the brink with work and family. I don’t have time for anything else. Perhaps when my kid’s school is out, I would have more free time.

do you believe in karma
February 10th, 2010 · No Comments
Do you believe in karma? I do and I sometimes don’t especially when I see children going hungry because their parents can’t provide food or when they’re trapped in a middle of war. What did those children do to get a punishment as harsh as hunger and war. And yet when I see dirty politicians using their country’s money for personal gain and they to live too comfortable lives, where is karma there? Or is it reincarnation working here? Those children are actually goons and good for nothing individuals in their past lives. I really don’t know. It really makes you think that this life is really not the be-all and end-all of everything. That perhaps, there is an afterlife. That this life in which we are now trying to live and lead is just a testing ground for better or worse things. It all depends on how you live your life today and God gets to judge your life. What do you think?

i’ve been lax
February 5th, 2010 · No Comments
I’ve been lax particularly with my diet and eating habits. For the past how many days, I’ve been eating all types of fatty food coupled with cans of soda and more than my regular intake of coffee daily. No wonder I’m having headaches and my sinusitis is again acting up. So starting tomorrow, I’ll be watching what I eat. What does it mean? No more carbohydrates overload, no more rice and white bread, no more sodas and no more fatty food. I might go back to my usual diet of wheat bread and tuna until my headache is gone. It’s really different when you’re older. Anything bad you do appears or manifests itself instantly on the way you feel and the way you look. If only I could undergo lap band houston, I would probably be eating less now. Going back to my theory of manifesting itself instantly, I slept late two nights ago and two pimples sprouted on my cheeks the very next morning. This never happened when I was younger. No matter how many consecutive nights I slept late, I never had a single pimple. I thought pimple is common with adolescents. I’m near forty, why do I still get pimples?

biking
February 5th, 2010 · No Comments
More and more people are into biking these days. One of the major transportation in Manila even dedicates a spot for bikers to ride and carry their bikes with them. I don’t know if people are starting to be conscious about their health as biking is a great form of exercise or if they are concerned about the environment. As we all know, bikes don’t have engines or don’t use gasoline so there is practically no carbon emissions to worry about. So it’s good for the body and it’s good for the environment. Perhaps I should take up biking as well.
But I don’t know the first thing about bikes. What I really like is a motorbike. It’s still environment friendly compared to larger vehicles plus it’s cheaper. You can even upgrade these babies with accessories from Bikers Choice. There are so many add-ons available to enhance the performance of your motorcycles. Perhaps I should get a motorcycle for my son instead of a car. What do you think? Besides, my budget can only buy a motorcycle for now. He could join one of the many motorcycle clubs and plan trips out of town. What am I saying? I don’t even allow my son to do sleepovers.

need to lose weight again
February 1st, 2010 · No Comments
After the holidays, I’ve gained about ten pounds from the endless parties, dinners and lunches. Only very lucky people would not gain from last year’s festivities and I’m not one of those lucky people. But unlike for many who have started embarking on a weight loss program the moment we entered 2010, I have yet to begin mine. Actually, I have eaten all the leftovers and have eaten some more even after the holidays. Do you get the picture? I stopped going to the gym and I haven’t worn my running shoes for a month now. It’s so hard to lose weight. It’s equally hard to go back to your fitness routine.
Believe me when I say that I’ve tried every diet there is. I’ve tried every type of exercise one could find. Yet it’s so frustrating when after all the hard work and sacrifice, you only lose a pound. So who wouldn’t be disheartened? I think I’ll be forever chubby. A friend suggested lap-band cincinnati. She lost a lot of weight because of this procedure. I’m seriously considering doing the procedure myself if it means being healthier. What about you? Are you having a hard time losing the excess pounds? Or are you one of those people blessed with slim genes.

what video? what photo?
January 28th, 2010 · No Comments
I’m that person who takes her camera everywhere or has her camera ready all the time. And then finds herself taking 2 to 0 pictures because she’s too busy thinking of unimportant things or just plain busy having fun or just simply preoccupied to be bothered with getting her camera up to her face and start snapping. Lucky for me, my little girl reminds me that I need to take photos of her every time she does something cute. And she does cute and adorable things all the time. And snap away I do each time I’m with her.
Anyway, it’s much like when I want to download a Video on Rapidshare. I go to the site. I look around and I would totally forget why I visited the site in the first place. But after awhile, I would remember and in the end, I would still manage to download the original video I wanted. It’s a crazy habit of mine. It seems to go very well with old age. Does the same thing happen to you? Or is it only me? Am I a candidate for Alzheimer’s? This forgetfulness is chronic and may even be contagious as my son seems extremely forgetful these past few days. Well, that’s another post. For now, I need to remember what to do next.

a nice day outside
January 28th, 2010 · No Comments
We’ve been having such nice weather lately. Lots of sunny mornings and cool, breezy nights that it makes me want to spend more time outside. It would be nice to head out into the country and have a picnic in any one of the parks scattered along side roads, sit on those outdoor chairs, just soak up the sun and camp under the stars come night time. I wish I had one of those RVs. I could go anywhere and not have to worry about dirty toilets. Yeah, it would have been nice but as much I want to get away, I can’t. I’m neck deep in chores and work that having the weekend off is out of the question. For instance, I just finished doing some articles on molds, photo viewer and fire removal. How exciting is that, right? But I can’t complain. It’s work. It’s what puts food on the table. Anyway, I hope you’re having the best week so far. In less than a week it would be February and next thing we know, school would be over for the kids and I’d have more free time to do what. I don’t know yet. Perhaps, take on a short course. Learn a skill. Learn something. We’ll see what happens. Right now, I’m busting the keys of my laptop. Just typing away.

i need a loan
January 22nd, 2010 · 1 Comment
I don’t like how things are going for me. I hope the tides turn and everything will soon be on the up and up. Finances are tight. But it’s not only me who is in this predicament. I don’t know if I should feel happy that I’m not the only one or should I be alarmed that times are really hard. So my friend recently got one of those loans for people with bad credit. I think she may be in a worse position than I am. I don’t have bad credit but it’s not something desirable. Anyway, she has been trying to apply for a loan for as long as I can remember and no bank or institution would approve her application. It was a good thing she came across CreditLoan.com. They approve personal loans fast and with no credit check. Loans like this one are good for people who are short on cash and need the money asap. Maybe I should get one myself. There are still lots of bills coming. It’s just start of the year and the bills are already piling up. I hope I get more writing jobs this year. I really need to augment my income.

fact or fiction?
January 21st, 2010 · No Comments
I love to see movies wherein the plot is interesting and original. Last year, I got to watch so many movies but I only liked quite a few. Most were science fiction. Whether I believe those movies or not, I don’t know. Nowadays, there’s a thin line dividing fact or fiction. So I don’t know what to believe anymore. This year, there’s a film project which is still under works and has yet to be shown. The plot is quite intriguing. It may even have a basis in real life. Fact or fiction? You decide. In fact, you can watch the REINL The Rejuventor Pilot Trailer on IMDB. So the plot revolves around a man by the name of REIN who was chosen to be the rejuvenator of souls. Other characters that also play important roles are theses twin brother and sister who he trusted fully when he was still a regular mortal and Karma who gave Rein the power to take away or rejuvenate souls. The conflict arises when Rein and Karma chooses another rejuvenator who may or may not be up for the task. Quite interesting, right? I can’t wait to watch this on the big screen.
You can check out REIN: The Rejuvenator Blog to get more information about the film project.
Alternately, you can also visit REIN: The Rejuvenator Official Site and let me know what you think.
